Overview

The Women and Heart Disease Symposium, a cherished annual event for five years until COVID-19, is a premier regional conference. It brings together local, national, and international experts to present cutting edge scientific insight on cardiovascular care in women. This program caters to community practitioners, internists, cardiologists and trainees.

Target Audience

The symposium is designed for Primary Care Physicians, Specialty Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Pharmacists, and other Health Care professionals interested in cardiovascular care in women.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe sex-specific differences in the presentation, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease in women.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies for managing high-risk conditions in women, including pregnancy-related complications, heart failure, arrhythmias, and aortopathy.
  • Evaluate emerging therapies and technologies such as cardio-oncology care, AI, structural interventions, and advanced imaging in women’s cardiovascular health.
